Blockchain is a system for recording information in a way that makes it difficult or impossible to change, hack, or dispute. Also known as Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT).
A blockchain is an immutable digital ledger of transactions that is duplicated across a distributed network of computer systems all running a copy of the ledger. The blockchain consists of blocks that are chained (or linked) together. Each block in the chain contains a number of transactions, and every time a new transaction occurs on the blockchain, a record of that transaction is added to every participant’s ledger.
